Breastfeeding and Cold Medications - Blog Entry

I remember being sick when Katelyn was really little and asking her pediatrican what to do and she told me to put a diaper between me and Kate while breastfeeding so I don't sneeze on her....That's all she really said!!

Ask a Baby Blogger: Solve Our Sleeping Issues - Blog Entry

I am not going to say this is going to work but I found when Katelyn started to fight sleep I would put her down earlier and she went down easier. I think the reason she started to fight sleep was because she was over tired...like when you get over tired and "slap happy" if you know what I am talking about. I would try putting him down before you see the signs of sleepiness and see how that goes. Can't really hurt to try.

When Do You Give Up Your Stroller? - Blog Entry

LOL I use ours to bring in the groceries when I am alone with Katelyn So that I can do it in one trip and be able to hold her hand and not worry about her running wild while I am bringing in stuff

We still have our stroller but we haven't really used it (except to go to the zoo) since Katelyn was 12 months old. She was barely walking then but I was excited about it so I made her walk and just carried her when she got too tired. Now she's a pro so we don't really need it, especially since she doesn't want to be in it!! We're keeping it for the future though (hoping it holds up)

I think the whole thing is a bit silly...couldn't he just call it "advice" and get away with it? There is no law against giving advice.

Babies in the News: The Non-Twin Twins - Blog Entry

I am glad they're fine...I wonder what it must be like to have two at once sometimes I even think I want that but then I look at my 15 almost 16 month old climbing on everything and I change my mind! I would love them the same though if it did happen. Twice the worry.

I think that is way too cool but...not so much for the younger one, I would think. Wouldn't that make it harder on the younger one being born at least 3 weeks early, at least?

Ask a Baby Blogger: The Gory Details - Blog Entry

04 Jan 2008 02:18 PM

When my cousin was pregnant with her first I shared all the details of my pregnancy and birth experiance (ALL the details) mainly because when I was going through it I kept saying "I wish someone told me about this!!!" As far as breastfeeding...I wasn't very good at it so of course I couldn't really offer any help there! I don't think there is anything wrong with sharing experiances as long as it isn't over food or loudly in public. I think it would be much easier for everyone if we support eachother.

Weak White Males and the Difference Race Makes in Preemies - Blog Entry

You know what stinks is when you see one of those march of dimes commercials and they're talking about how many babies died due to being premature and you know that your baby is one that made up that number...Also when your doc appears to give up on your baby because he is a white male (he was actually mixed but my dh wasn't there and the doc didn't know) and super premature before he's even actually born (not saying that is why but it sure did appear that way)
