(I hope) Watching T.V. While Breastfeeding - Blog Entry26 Nov 2007 10:32 AM I watched TV while breastfeeding because it was my only chance to really hear it. It was my only connection to the outside world at the time. We had lots of other bonding time. She slept with me at night and we were together all day I even took her into the shower with me once her cord came off. I dont mean to say that I don't intend to give her every second of everyday but like anyone else I know I would have gone crazy if I had no time at all to myself. Is Swaddling Overrated? - Blog Entry26 Nov 2007 10:22 AM my baby hated being bundled up like that...she liked free movement of her arms and sometimes looked like she was doing karate in her sleep. It was pretty fun to watch. She doesn't seem to like tight spaces anyway though. She hates being in elevators...It really makes me wonder how she handled being inside me. LOL maybe that's why she was born early! Why Breast Pumping Isn't a Good Substitute for Breastfeeding - Blog Entry26 Nov 2007 10:10 AM I brestfed my little girl. She was in the NICU at first so I had to pump and after a month of her being home the doc suggest that between feedings I should pump and give it to her because she wasn't growing fast enough for the doctor. In the end I ran out of milk when she was around 2 months old and I felt like I had failed. I was tired all the time and she still wasn't growing as fast as the doctor would have liked. I had to give her formula and she still didnt grow as the doctor wanted. She started baby food and still grew very slowly. At 12 months when I started her on cows milk and she got her first tooth so more variety in foods she started growing like a weed and now she wont stop Why You Shouldn't Give Cough or Cold Medicine to Your Baby - Blog Entry12 Oct 2007 12:33 PM I gave my baby Concentrated Tylenol® Infants' Drops Plus Cold & Cough when she was 11 months old and it did nothing at all for her. After that I threw it away convinced it was useless. I haven't bought another type since then. I don't know why but I just figured that if tylenol wasn't going to work, nothing would. Babies in the News: Be Careful What You Ask For - Blog Entry30 Sep 2007 03:23 PM I totally agree with you No More Pricks for Jaundice Babies - Blog Entry25 Aug 2007 12:17 PM When my daughter was born she was as orange as a pumkin and I didn't even notice! I thought she was completely perfect. I do realize now how orange she was when I look at the pictures. She stayed for 4 days under the lights. When she got to come home they had me lay her in the sunshine for 30 mins for the first 2 days. The Rules of Natural Child Spacing - Blog Entry22 Aug 2007 06:26 PM It wasn't me but it makes me feel better that someone elses baby does/did the same thing. So I know my child isn't a weirdo lol I actually had lost my baby around the time she started wanting it again so I suppose she could maybe smell it maybe it's some sort of instinct and I would have given it to her but I had a birth control shot and I wasn't sure if it was ok to let her have it. Thank you for answering so quickly! I love this place! The Rules of Natural Child Spacing - Blog Entry21 Aug 2007 06:56 PM Is it weird that my daughter acts like she wants to suck on them again even though I haven't breastfed her since she was 3 months old (my milk just quit coming in and I couldn't get it back) For months it didn't seem to bother her but at 6 months till now she grabs at it and tries to stick it in her mouth and I'm not sure how to react because I don't breastfeed her anymore. |
