We usually talk about the picture on the page and point to the words as we're reading them. I don't know if it makes a difference but she loves to point to the words for me and she likes to tell me what she thinks is happening on the page (although it is usually mostly baby talk) Having a tape read to them just sounds like it takes the fun out of it. So many don't even really look where they're going (at least not when I was there) and they push you with their shoulders to get through even when there is clearly not enough room. The Great Stroller Debate--Preschool Edition11 Nov 2008 07:43 AM I figure when the stroller breaks cause the kid is too heavy or when I can't push it then the kid has to walk! lol I wouldn't ever force a kid over 4 to use a stroller but Kids get sleepy and I'd rather push around a sleepy kid than have the kid whining behind me about going home and how their feet hurt and they're tired while I am out doing things that need to be done! I would have been happy to be in a stroller when I was tired at that age. Caffeine Linked to Underweight Babies06 Nov 2008 07:26 AM Interesting...I know that they can't get a accurate weight through ultrasound but they said my baby is twice as heavy as most babies at 16 weeks gestation. I don't drink caffeine but I do eat dark chocolate & milk chocolate everyday. I know what is in the bible but not sure which parts he wants to be followed because there is alot of contradiction in the bible. So my vote goes based off what I think is best according to my beliefs and values and...I do think we should help people who need help...I believe that's what God would have me do. JMO |
