I got a scanner for Christmas, and I've been trying to get old photos scanned, but I haven't gotten very far, in part because of the back issue. It just now occurred to me that I could simply pull the cart on which the scanner and printer sit forward, so that it is beside me as I sit. Scripture Journals - Blog Entry22 Jan 2007 08:22 PM Thank you for this inspired and inspiring article. I am printing this out to take to my writer's group tomorrow evening. Karla in Texas Just Who is Candace E. Salima? - Blog Entry15 Jan 2007 12:05 AM I'm sharing a few lines from #5 and a link to the colplete article with my Plum Creek Ward writer's group -- along with the warning to swallow the orange juice before reading #9. We have twelve large bookcases in six rooms, mostly upstairs. We could very easily add nine more upstairs, including one in each bathroom (I'd just have to remove those pesky towel rods, but I could put towel hooks more convenient to the tubs anyway!) and I haven't even thought about how many bookcases we could add downstairs. This is not a really large house; it's just well laid out for book lovers. If we decide to build, I definitely want a similar lay-out, especially upstairs. Usually because I've begun reading, wanted a snack, carried my book to the kitchen, made my snack, gone back upstairs or to the living room, sat down -- and discovered that the book was still in the kitchen. But a spatula? Is that for smacking anyone who interrupts you? Keeping a Journal - Blog Entry14 Jan 2007 05:36 PM I love your philosophy regarding both literacy and chocolate! I have the chocolate down pat, as well as the books, but I spend too much time "writing" in my head and not enough writing on paper (or computer). This year I work on changing that, with chocolate nearby, of course. |
