I was babysitting an 18 month old little girl last week. She had a toy car and was sitting on it and pretending to drive. I couldn't help but notice that the WHOLE TIME she was pretending to drive it she was talking on her toy cell phone!!!! Even if your children are too young to speak, they still comprehend your actions. Start setting good examples from day one. Show your children the Lord so when the whole world is against them and all is hopeless, they know SOMEONE is there and always have that love and companionship. Cross-Gender Friendships - Blog Entry29 Jun 2009 06:17 PM I personally don't see anything wrong with the situation having always been "one of the guys" myself. As long as you communicate with your partner and aren't blowing them off for your friend. On the other hand, my boyfriend of four years feels the opposite. He thinks that it is wierd I would want to be with any other guy besides him.. t There comes a point in your relationship where you basically have to set your priorities straight and take your partners feelings into consideration. You may lose your partner due to your friendship, only to find out that friend gets a girlfriend shortly after and blow you off forever because of her (no I'm not bitter or anything...)! Sad as it is, friends come and go but soul mates are few and far between. Just something to think about ;-) |
