It had gift bags, small toys, and mixed treats! Ghosting or Boo-ing - Blog Entry10 Oct 2007 02:52 PM Thanks, Nicole. I like your slant on this, to do this for family friends. It does sound like a fun family project. The Golden Compass - Philip Pullman - Blog Entry09 Oct 2007 05:57 AM I'll be interested to see what you think, Aimee. It is a bizarre book. But I love it. It really seemed to tap into that mystery of life wonderment. The next book in the series, The Subtle Knife is actually my favorite. Eternals - Neil Gaiman - Blog Entry08 Oct 2007 05:58 AM Hi Tristi, the Eternals is a comic book. It's a 256 page comic book though, with a complicated story line. Usually a book is evaluated for reading level on word difficulty, word repetition, number of words, and concept. A third grader could probably handle the vocabulary, but I don't know if they would get the plot without help. The Eternals doesn't really fit into a niche category. I think many teens and adults, even those who don't read comic books on the average day, would enjoy reading it because it is a complicated story. I also would recommend it for reluctant readers. Madeleine L'Engle 1918-2007 - Blog Entry03 Oct 2007 06:51 PM Thanks for reading, Dale. L'Engle was great in making her readers think! Hannah Montana - Teen TV Review - Blog Entry29 Sep 2007 03:03 PM That's a really good point, Valerie. Hannah/Miley is very clean. She's cute without being overtly sexy. And that's a nice change from a lot of the young singers. Mastermind - fun and logic - Blog Entry12 Sep 2007 08:31 PM Exactly, Teresa! Games that teach and entertain are the best! Mugglenet Podcast - Blog Entry12 Sep 2007 08:29 PM Let me know what you think if you listen to it, Tristi. |
