Use Nail Polish Everywhere - Blog Entry

17 Jul 2006 02:39 PM

Seriously! If I'm not careful I'm going to find myself frantically trying to accquire some cute stencils and a bottle or two or dollar-store nail polish and going after this white dresser I got for 2.37 at a garage sale on Saturday. (It's missing the bottom drawer. If I'd been thinking, I would have bought the OTHER dresser, tossed it, and used one of its drawers in this one. And if I had a little girl, I'd line the inside of the bottom drawer compartment with rumpled satin and make it a "display case" for her barbies and ponies. As it is, I think I'll just toss my shoes in it.)

Derivations of this movement, ranging from the impractical to the utterly absurd, have been around FOREVER. They were especially popular in the late 1800's to the early 1900's, with one "expert" who even proposed erradicating all but a few hundred words from the English language. (Anyone else having 1984 nightmares?)

I'm surprised that anybody is still trying to push these kinds of movements.

P. S. I really like your ending. Very clever.

Kelo vs. New London Eminent Domain Evictions May Be Near - Blog Entry

I am so grateful that my state almost immediately passed a law outlawing the use of eminent domain for any private company, and specifically prohibits the state from using eminent domain to take property for itself, hold it for a while, and then pass it onto a private company.

Again, I love it! I'd like to see pictures of some of these, like the art supply organizer.

I use toilet paper tubes as cord holders. It works quite well.

BTW, I tried the cleaning tip on my crock-pot and it worked LIKE A CHARM! I liked it so much that I'm going to grab some from the dollar store for future use.

Payday Loans for Times When Cash is Short - Blog Entry

I have to mention that my DH, who is an adjustments officer at our financial institution, has great contempt and hatred for these companies. He says that the fees they charge are outrageous, and are deliberately designed to keep people in a cycle of needing to use their overpriced services.

The Impact of CD and Book Clubs on Your Budget - Blog Entry

My DH is crazy for these types of clubs, and he uses them well. We simply write "return" on automatic shipments that we don't want.

GREAT information! I've been signing with DS for about three months, and sometimes it seems as though he'll NEVER catch on. But then once in a while he does and in those moments, it's totally worth it.
