A Guide to Substituting Ingredients14 Jul 2006 08:57 AM Thank you! I love this type of information! Five Uses for Dryer Sheets, plus one14 Jul 2006 08:56 AM Nice! I always love these types of things. One post I read said at the end that the one thing you SHOULDN'T do with dryer sheets is put them in the dryer with your clothes. *Rolling eyes* At last I understood why all my loads of laundry had grease stains on them. Failing Reading?14 Jul 2006 07:12 AM Passé as it sounds, I think the real problem is that reading is no longer a part of our everyday lives. Children don't read for entertainment, adults don't read to their children for bonding, people in general don't read for information. I suppose the increased interaction with written language might be at least one advantage of places like Myspace. Daycare Shopping: What Defines Good14 Jul 2006 07:09 AM When I was shopping for daycares for DS, it took me seven or eight tries to find one with which I was satisfied. At the one I finally selected, I spent about an hour asking the staff questions ranging from, "How do you handle a child who won't stop crying," to "Are there ever men on the premises and what is their interaction with the children?" The thing that surprised me the most was at the end when they said that I was one of the first mothers who had ever asked them a barrage of questions like that. They said they appreciated it and wished more mothers would ask detailed questions. Tips for Using a Breast Pump13 Jul 2006 09:04 PM Amen! GREAT post. I especially like the information about the breast bank. I've looked into donating, but we don't have one within a reasonable distance. The Television Exercise Game13 Jul 2006 03:03 PM This is a WONDERFUL suggestion! What a creative idea. I especially liked your Star Trek ideas; my husband and I are fans. Maybe we should do our excercises whenever someone starts spouting medical or engineering, as we call it, "schmack." Don't Be a Slouch13 Jul 2006 02:57 PM I wonder if there are also psychological or mood-related issues relating to posture. Children's Bill Of Rights13 Jul 2006 02:50 PM I had no idea that there was such a thing! That's pretty cool. How to Play With Your Baby13 Jul 2006 12:04 PM Wow! I'm glad to know I'm not the only parent who's convinced her child that putting things away is "fun". DS also really loves to ride around in the backpack or baby sling while I do dishes, take out the garbage, and vaccuum. And we dance. Oh, we love to dance! Cat Got Your Tongue? Nasty Thought13 Jul 2006 12:01 PM I love it! Etymology is one of my favorite subjects, and this article is fun to read. 1 2 |
