The Intelligent Spider

29 Nov 2008 10:14 AM

Spiders are not insects, and are very intelligent. I was a painter painting a factory once, and as I painted the ceiling which was at a height of 3 stories, I encountered a certain type of spider. They were light in color, and consisted of a narrow body with long legs. As I would paint close to them ( I was trying to be careful not to harm them), they would move, and wait for the paint to dry, and they would always test it by lightly touching a surface, and if it was dry they would rebuild a web over the newly painted surface. I thought this was amazing, and had new respect for the creatures. This behavior was consistant through out, and not one spider ever perished, out of the hundreds I encountered, in this huge 4 acre interior of the Milnor Washing Machine factory
