In some cases they won't even come, like if its on private property, but it really helps it become "official". Also, in addition to exchanging information, just ask for the other parties insurance card. If you are in a state with mandatory insurance, this should not be a problem. Write down their policy number, company name, and agent info. If the card includes an 24 hour claims number, get that too. Then you will not have to wait for them to call their company (especially if it might be their fault). You can get the ball rolling immediately. It took over a day to dry each layer, and we did two layers. We were all very proud of it when we were done. Ours was hello kitty and MUCH cheaper than having to buy a licensed character one. |
