Our dentist recommended our kids go in for their first appt at about age 3. Our son will be 3 in August. DH and I are scheduled for our regular checkup in September, so he'll probably go with us then for his first real appt.

This is VERY interesting. About 2 years ago my sister and brother-in-law put artifical turf in their backyard instead of real grass. My nephew is 3.5 now. My parents also put it in their backyard. My kids are 2.5 and 5 mo. This is very interesting for when my kids play at their cousin's house or at Grandma and Papa's

I'm a little biased since I was a flight attendant in my pre-mom days. Honestly, I think the people who are complaining about the compensation they are receiving are the same types of people who file frivolous law suits. Thanks to the crew members on board they all survived. This accident was NOT the airlines fault--it wasn't "pilot error" or a mechanical issue. If the accident were pilot error or a maintence issue, then yes, I think they would have a beef with USAirways, but since it was an uncontrollable incident I think they have no claim. Period.

If the crew hadn't handled the situation as well as they did there certainly would be a large number of fatalities and for that the passengers and their families should be grateful.

I understand those who would be scared to fly after experiencing such an ordeal (I can't say I wouldn't feel the same if I'd been in their shoes) but it should be reassuring to all of us the level of training and expertise pilots have before they ever take control of a passenger aircraft!

I forgot to add--we have a diaper pail that's "supposed" to keep the smell out and DH empties it almost every day due to odor whereas with the Diaper Genie we only had to unload it every week or so (whenever it was full)

Whole chickens are by far my #1 frugal food tip! I tell anyone who asks to start there because every few months I can find them on sale for $.57/lb. Around Thanksgiving I buy turkeys and cook them, and freeze the meat because they're about $.47/lb. I substitute turkey for chicken in a variety of recipes!
