Moving around makes it hard to find jobs, especially if you are moved to a rural setting like we were when my hubby was a recruiter. But, if I weren't a military spouse, I doubt I could afford to stay home with my toddler, like you said. So, giving up my career is okay for the returns I get on it :-) Movies on Base vs. Out in Town - Blog Entry27 Dec 2006 08:31 PM Another down side of military theaters, at least the ones I've been to at Miramar and here in New River is that they are like an auditorium. No fancy stadium seating or really comfortable seating :-( But, with a toddler, I feel much better taking him to the base theater for a couple of reasons.
