Mosquitoes and Your Home--Fight the Bite - Blog Entry

Glad you mentioned the discarded tires. My grandfather used to work for the health department and I remember him talking about how those hold water and attract mosquitoes, but many people don't realize it!

I won't even mention that that was after we had several garage sales :-)

Diabetes & Exercise - Blog Entry

Exercise and diet are equally important. When I had gestational diabetes, I had to go on a diabetic diet. It wasn't so bad and since diabetes can be hereditary and it runs in both sides of my family, I'd better get used to it :-)

I agree Jamie. I think I get the little certificate when Randy re-enlists. But I cannot complain too much. We have only been married six years and he should retire in three. He has not been deployed, but if he makes MSgt., that should change :-(

I did have to do a tour on recruiting. And yes, I mean I HAD to do it too! I had to entertain kids, pick them up from places, make the two hour ride with Randy to take them to MEPS, go to graduations, meet parents, console crying girlfriends, etc., so I served my time too :-)

We had to stop doing DITY moves. Sure you can make a little extra $$$ from it, but it is not worth it. Unfortunately, last time we moved, we had 7 tons (yes, 7 tons!), so I am glad we had the military move us!

Why I Love The Military Lifestyle - Blog Entry

I loved living in CA, but leaving it was even okay. They paid me unemployment because I had to leave when my husband got new orders - something Arkansas REFUSED to do. I guess they figured I could just stay there and work.

It may sound stupid, but after us getting out, my biggest worry is our animals. We have 4 cats and a puppy - too many to take with us. I figured just put them in the house, but the I know many animals died locked in houses in New Orleans :-(

I used to love to buy cut flowers for the house, but with four cats, that is hard now. It seems no matter where you put plants or flowers in the house - they can get to them!

The last couple of times I signed up for a sample, I never got it. I checked and even though we've moved in the last couple of years, my correct address is listed, so I am not sure what is happening :-(
