On Being a WAHM...

It still amazes me that almost two years after quitting me 9 to 5 job, I can find work from home.  Of course, it is not tons of money, but enough to keep me out of my husband's pocket for mad money and buy groceries.

I have been lucky - I haven't been ripped of by anyone and have met some very nice people in the process.  I tutor for an online agency.  I've been lucky enough to get involved with Families (which I love), but I also have a few individuals and companies for which I write web content.  I also get paid to be a moderator at a couple of places, so for the first time in two years, I feel somewhat set in my part time jobs.  Of course, it could all fall apart tomorrow (this is something I am still trying to deal with as a WAHM), but for now, I feel content.

Way to go, Libby. I'd love to know if any of the companies you work for are hiring more home workers? I'm looking for more freelancing opps. I've done quite a bit of magazine and newspaper work. I was a substitute teacher for awhile for grades K-6, and I've worked for an educational company writing grade-leveled activity books. It's so hard to find contacts! I search Craig's List every day and a few other sites, but the good offers are few and far between!
