Terrorist Plots

I just wrote about this in the forums, but it has me so upset, I have to talk about it here too. 

I consider myself a pretty smart girl, but for the life of me, I cannot understand how these terrorist can take innocent lives.  If you are fighting a war, okay, maybe I understand.  But to just decide you are going to set out to down a plane full of innocent people?  And with a sports bottle?   I heard some woman say she had to leave chapstick behind because of this new threat.  Chapstick?  For God's sake, what can you do with chapstick?  How can people be so focused on one thing to think up crazy stuff like this?  I am pretty tolerant to other religions.  Just because you don't worship the same God I do, I don't have a problem with that.  What I do have a problem with is someone who uses their religion as an excuse to kill.  And I believe this is just a small group of a religion.  It is sad that these extremists get their names in the news and taint a whole religion with their actions. 

And now, I am sitting here in a military town, where helicopters fly over constantly, but tonight, it is making me nervous. 

I supposed I should be happy this plot was uncovered before it happened - that is at least a little progress in the right direction I suppose.
