Let's Talk About Having a Bicornuate Uterus

17 Mar 2009 11:32 PM

Ok, I am 22 years old and was recently diagnosed with (i believe) is called a bicornuate uterus. I had a miscarriage about a year ago, and never thought anything of it. I read alot of articles and blogs about this and yes it is about 50/50 about getting pregnant. No, i am not trying to have children at the moment but hopefully in the next couple of years my fiance and I will be. Here's the question, my doctor has told me that i have a choice to have a surgery to reconstruct my uterus or keep risking the possibility of miscarriage. In all of the blogs i have read, no one has ever discussed the possiblity of having a reconstructive surgery. I have already had 2 overian cyst surgeries and am worried about scar tissue affecting my body's ability to concieve. Does anyone know anything about this reconstructive surgery?
