Halloween for Baby - Blog Entry31 Oct 2009 12:10 PM You made the right decision. My daughter was Cillian's age for her first Halloween. We were in Hawaii visiting my mom who was recovering from Stage 2 breast cancer and I skipped the costume. She slept through all of the trick-or-treaters and the next year she killed as a Disney Dalmatian. The cutest pup ever--and I am a snap happy parent, so believe me when I say that it took a LOT of effort not to dress her up as a peapod for her first Halloween. Guess what? We survived and have yet to NOT dress up in subsequent years. She's been a giraffe, monkey, cat, and this year she's a dinosaur. I have 100s of photos of her in those costumes and they more than make up for the lost Halloween. Skip this year and go all out next year. Your son won't care.
