Why Parents Shouldn't Feel Bad About Using Disposable Diapers - Blog Entry

07 Sep 2008 03:47 AM

I stopped apologizing for having used disposables after I read a study by a London-based Environmental Agency, which concluded that disposable diapers have the same environmental impact as reusable diapers when the effect of laundering cloth diapers is taken into account. Basically the study found that the water and energy required to wash and dry cloth diapers is just as bad on the planet and neither disposable nor cloth diapers are better or worse for the environment. And then there's Tristi's point about time management.

Thank you all for your comments!

Oh if all miscommunications were that easily fixed! ;-) "I gave you all I could" ?! That's quite a line!

Is it really so bad if he kept his shirt on? If he made like Maks that could be tempting, but that would require a lot of waxing and given the amount of chest hair Selleck has I doubt he would go that route ;-)

Why Parents Shouldn't Feel Bad About Using Disposable Diapers - Blog Entry

You're right Samual there is NO excuse for keeping windows open and not keeping an eye on your own child. However, I don't think this post praised their neglect in anyway save for the fact that they chose to diaper their child in disposables (which could be seen as "neglect" to those opposed to their use). I would admonish the parents more, but I don't have access to the complete police report so I tried to err on the side of caution. Thanks for the comment, though b/c the post should focus on parenting skills or lack thereof in this case.

A Mother's View from the Pool-Bikinis on Babies? - Blog Entry

I agree that a bikini is easier to remove when changing swim diapers and if you have a tot who tends to wait to the last minute to inform you that she needs to go potty.

Stay-at-Home-Mom Says Record Game Show Win "Lessens Guilt" - Blog Entry

Let me start by saying deedee you are hilarious, if I see this lady on "Price is Right" or "Wheel of Fortune" in the future I'll remember that you called it first. Thanks for the great comments!

Kara, I highly doubt you spend your days lying in bed eating bon bons while your dd is crying for food and playing with matches. You sound like a supportive wife and loving mother who wants to be the one to raise your child instead of strangers. Don't listen to people who pretend they know what your situation is like.

Valorie and Dale thanks for the great comments!!

Tristi you are so right, maybe he didn't want to share the stage with a bunch of reality TV stars, though I've been hearing that Misty May-Treanor is the one to beat (hear that Courtney) her partner Maks says she's got legs and skill like Stacy Keibler.

Jamie Lynn Spears Welcomes Bristol Palin to Sisterhood of Teen Mothers - Blog Entry

Ditto Andrea and did you also notice how well Levi cleaned up since being named the baby's dad, the guy went from hockey playing "redneck" to clean cut GAP model (though the ringer finger tat of Bristol's name reveals his true colors) it's a transformation Jamie Lynn Spears has wanted to do with her own "redneck" for years.
