JetBlue's "Toilet Man" Talks - Blog Entry

LOL Starrlight I was thinking the same thing about the bathroom. Though, I must say the last time I was on a 9-hour flight to Hawaii there was a woman who occupied a lavatory for more than an hour (I think she fell asleep in there) and my 3-year-old kept asking when the lady was going to come out. We were hanging out in the back of the plane eating snacks with a couple of flight attendants and that woman really was in there for a long time.

All About Asparagus - Blog Entry

WOW does that sound great! Deep fried asparagus--yum! I wonder if it is as good as deep fried pickles? I would love to go to the festival. I saw it profiled on the FOOD Network a few years back and would be in asparagus heaven. Can't wait to check it out in person. Thanks Pastry Girl!!

Thanks Starrlight! Great catch. It should have read "seat" not "jump seat." It's corrected now and makes much more sense. Thanks!

LOL Angie--you are right sharing a bathroom with three guys is no vacation! I did it with four guys growing up and it was no picnic. I'm all about the adjoining rooms. Thanks for the comment.

Turkey as Diet Food - Blog Entry

Turkey rules in our house too. My daughter calls it "the bird." I love it for all the reasons you do. It's affordable enough for me to buy a 15-pound bird at least a couple times per month and we eat the leftovers for days after. And the best part my daughter loves turkey. LOVES IT. She never tires of it and doesn't need it prepared in a special way either. She just likes it plain. My only issue with turkey is that I can't disguise veggies in it the same way I can with ground beef. I can hide carrots, olives, mushorroms, etc. in hamburger but my dd's keen eye picks it out in turkey burgers. Also, the oven bags are a Godsend.

Have you ever seen PBS' Caillou ? The mom on that show could have the house fall around her and not flinch.

Hulk Hogan's Son Gets 8 Months in Jail - Blog Entry

Do you think it's enough? I don't think the victim's family does. Eight months for a lifetime of physical pain... hmm... What's more, I think he thought he was going to get off with just the community service. Did you see his face when the judge told him he was actually going to have to go to jail?

The Stress of Constant Noise - Blog Entry

And don't forget the impact it can have on your writing. :-) Actually, I'm not kidding. I am ashamed to admit that I find a ton of errors in my work when I write and proof it while my young daughter is trying to sing to me; tell me jokes; read to me, etc. I only find them when I re-read pieces when she is asleep and silence rules. I honestly don't know how people are able to write with the TV/radio on or when a jack hammer is pounding outside their window. Interesting read Beth!!
