What Kind of Parents Take Their Kids Shopping on Black Friday? - Blog Entry

GASP! Valorie how could you possibly compare an American institution with a bunch a 50% off sale signs. ;-) Also, your kids WANT to go. That's a stark contrast to the screaming toddlers I've seen on Black Friday.

Oh man Valorie 6am is like noon to Black Friday diehards. I was referring to the people who line up with their kids at midnight or 4 a.m. and wait outside in the cold, then run like a bat out of -ell to get a gift for themselves, not others. I certainly wouldn't expect parents not take their children out at all on Black Friday... unless that's when Santa confers with mom and dad on what to buy. ;-)

I so agree, and what an example to set for your kids--oh don't pay attention to the man being trampled on, let's get our precious TV! I'm with all of you ladies. I think it is horrendous and Kara you are right, they knew the worker was hurt b/c others were trying to help and that still didn't get anyone's attention. Also, people didn't even want to leave the store after police arrived. Officiers told them the guy was hurt but they wouldn't leave b/c they didn't want to miss out on buying their merchandise. So sad!

Hold Those Wedding Gifts for Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt - Blog Entry

The only way these two fame seeking bobbleheads would ever get married for real is if someone paid for the actual ceremony AND paid for them to show up. BTW, I don't even think they are a couple in real life... I think their entire relationship sustains itself on how to pad their bank accounts. I'm with Libby--these two don't do anything "secret" or "low-key."

I totally agree Andrea and I'm sure the concept is only foreign to those who have no clue what it's like to actually have a decent relationship with their grandparents/in-laws.

Changes Coming to McDonald's Dollar Menu--So Long Cheap Eats - Blog Entry

McDonald's didn't give an exact date on the McChicken or FYP, but the doublecheeseburger gets the ax next week. It will now be $1.19-1.29 depending on where you live per MSNBC. I agree that the move is crazy given that their are one of the only mega-businesses still generating decent profits. Thanks for the comment.
