I think it's when your kids are old enough to actually request certain items and show real signs of disappointment when they don't receive them (especially if the request was made of Santa) that you have to worry. After all, what parent wants to disappoint his/her child on Christmas?

Thanks for the comments everyone. P.S. When my daughter was 2 she told me she didn't need to sit on Santa's lap because grandma would get her anything she wanted!

If you're going "green" than I guess your purchases are real "investments" and you can't help but pay more, but does that mean you will be buying fewer toys if you buy ones that cost more?
