Should Schools Ban Cookies? - Blog Entry

Fried pies--YUM--you know they are not allowed at McDonald's anymore. Remember when McDonald's fried their apple pies? Then they went healthy and started baking them. Only a handful of states still carry the fried version. They do in Hawaii, so whenever I go home I eat like a dozen fried pies (2 for $1--can't go wrong!). I love McDonald's deep fried apple pies. I still can't believe they took them off the menu at most locations. If I want to pay you to clog my arteries with deep fried pie, then let me! Heck, I would join the drama club just to get near the kid who brings in fried pies. Were they apple?

Custard tarts... interesting! Don't remember craving carrots, unless they sticking out of a deviled egg :-)

Would your husband consider dressing up with your dd? They could go as a Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum??? ;-) Seriously, though, there are a ton of cute father/daughter/couples costumes that they could rock the neighborhood in.

Rich is good! If I had the time, energy and talent, I would have turned my nose up at those overpriced costumes that are now hanging in my daughter's closet. More power to you Andrea!

Yes, it was an extreme move and I can't find info that says whether or not the dad made bail or if he is still behind bars for his reckless behavior. Thanks for the comment DYC!!

I wonder if it has to do with location? I live in the Upper Midwest and our local organic health food store charges $1 per pound for strawberries than the pesticide laden strawberries I buy at the regular grocery store. We don't have a large Amish population on this side of the state, so I haven't been able to price their produce. If you live in a heavily populated Amish community, I'm sure you could score big on fresh produce. Thanks for the tip, Pattie.
