When Teens Don't Share Everything

16 Mar 2011 08:41 AM

Do they share with siblings and not you? My pal's kids are teens and she often hears things about one from the other. You have to know that if you tell your sibling that it will probably get back to mom or dad at some point. The good news is that your child found someone that you approve of. That's an achievement in itself.

Goofy New Check-In for Disney Cruises

I don't think you are being sarcastic. I agree--weird. Money could have been spent to streamline without the cartoon dog.

Thanks for the comment, Marta. Simple is good!

Bugged Out

I've heard some moms say they would rather burn their homes down than de-lice the entire thing. It got worse b/c I thought I had it and we both had to get checked at school. Having that many kids out of school for lice is sick. Stephanie, you should have seen the looks on the faces of the moms who had to deal with the lice attack. Many had multiple kids and they all had it. I can't imagine how much the moms had to clean.

Stupid is as stupid does. You are right, Stephanie, hope the kid is not scarred for life.

Blowing It As a Mother

Been there, done that ;-) but what parent hasn't? Isn't there a saying that if you don't yell at your kids then you clearly don't spend much time with them. Now is the hardest part... the waiting until you see your kid again. I'm sure the story will have a happy ending---you are baking his favorite cookies, right ;-) actually don't or he'll do the same thing tomorrow.

Valentine's Day Void

I agree with Stephanie, I don't have a problem with the school celebration, except when I get stuck with having to handcraft a billion cards myself-now that's love.

The Cussing Conundrum

What is it with the c-word? I would have had my mouth washed out if I used the word when I was in 4th grade. I like your tactic, Stephanie, but I wasn't quite sure what level of intelligence the boy I was dealing with had and whether it was worth trying to make the determination. Glad it works with your kids, though!

BTW, is there a soul out there that is surprised that Taco Bell doesn't serve 100% real beef?

I agree, Stephanie--the world is full of blamers, meanwhile the kids are still suffering.
