You are tougher than me. I would have caved like a deck of cards.

Mickey's Toontown Farewell

I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that Playhouse Disney is now Disney Jr. and they are revamping their cartoons? My daughter counted down the days to the switch... it finally took place yesterday. The direction of Disney is changing to compete with Nick Jr.??????

Dealing with Disappointment

Can't believe it. My former colleague's teen son just failed his test too last week for not getting up to speed quick enough as soon as he turned out of the DMV's parking lot and on to a main road. Automatic fail. Next week he's going to re-take the test in a different city about 30 miles south of here.

KAE8709, thanks for sharing your insights. I really appreciate hearing your point of view. You are so fortunate to have someone like your grandma to talk to about anything and everything. Stay strong! You are making the right decision!!

Would You Allow Your Kid to Take the Plunge?

23 Jan 2011 06:52 AM

For the record I would never let my teen get near a frozen lake wearing a swimsuit. Fortunately, my kid loathes the cold, so I don't think I will have to deal with the Polar Bear Plunge drama--hopefully!

The Dirtiest Job in the House

I just threw up in my mouth! A little. Nothing like using your bare hand as a rag. Definitely frugal approach to cleaning, though is there enough of the cleaner left on your hand to make the method effective?
