Thanks Sherry! I think it's creepy too, but apparently some people out there really get a kick out of these sites! Oh well!

An Apple A Day...

Thanks Ladies!! I hope it turns out well for you. It's so simple that's what I love about it! And Megan, love the story!! Chock one more up for those fab Aussies!

Birthday Party Anxiety

29 Oct 2006 05:15 AM

Megan--you are too kind!! Be careful because I may just take you up on your generous offer. Do you think you can handle a couple more kids? (I'm a kid at heart.) I would love nothing more than to extend our trip, though I already booked my return on a non-refundable ticket. But we may be heading back that way in the Spring... which would be what season down under? Do you change your clocks there? Hawaii doesn't.

Megan--you are so kind. I really appreciate the offer and would take you up in a heartbeat if I could just win the lottery. I rolled into the service station recently to get my oil changed and the guy said I needed three new tires ASAP--$300 gone in less than an hour :( Please know how grateful I am for your invite. Save the party hats though, my birthday is in August!

Depression: The myth of "Chemical Imbalance"

28 Oct 2006 06:51 PM

Great blog Beth! I cringe when I hear people randomly throwing around the words "chemical imbalance" and "crazy" or "nutcase" (I'm straying a bit from your topic), but seriously when I hear people hurl these words around to describe a condition they have no clue about I tend to think the words more accurately describe them than the person to whom the words are intended for.

Birthday Party Anxiety

Loved the blog... and the pic of the pool! Can you add us to the invite list for birthday No. 12? Or perhaps you would consider hosting my 3???th birthday party... is there a cure for birthday party anxiety for non-relatives??

Michael J. Fox vs. Rush Limbaugh

28 Oct 2006 06:18 PM

Thank you, thank you Sherry! I really appreciate your comment. You are so right--I do believe that the subject matter is what touched off this recent war of words. Do I think Rush Limbaugh's specific comment about Fox's meds strayed from the subject, yes. Is his "apology" sincere--I don't think Fox really cares.

But now I am straying... which is your point exactly and a good one at that. I agree that there is a great deal more to the embryonic stell cell debate. I certainly wish Fox well (he will always be one of my first crushes), but certainly I defer to the teachings of the Catholic Church which by the way continues to clarify it supports adult stem cell research and other avenues posing no moral problem... which have advanced quickly toward human clinical trials to treat juvenile diabetes, corneal damage, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury, sickle-cell anemia, cardiac damage and many other conditions... but like you said this issue is about embryonic stem cell research and there is much more to it than what can be covered in a 30 second ad.

Thank you for your comment Sherry--you make an excellent point!
