Baby's First Easter

02 Apr 2010 04:36 AM

I will bet you $50 that you will buy another Easter basket for your dd next year. When my dd was a baby I bought one thinking it would last forever, but the next year she saw one shaped like a dog and cried when she couldn't take it home. My mom got it for her the next day and we have subsequently collected 8 more baskets and my dd is only 5!

Knitting With Your Preschooler

You've inspired me to get my 5-year-old to learn how to knit. Your dd is lucky she has you as a teacher. My mom will have to teach my dd, as I am not skilled in the knitting dept.

Staying Connected With Family Newsletters

02 Apr 2010 04:29 AM

Who says family newsletters should only come at Christmas? This is a great idea!! However, I agree that it would take a lot of time and effort unless you were working with a few family members to gather info and you just had to format it. Still, a very good idea, if you have the time and motivation.

Belly Photos: Public or Private?

There's just something about Gisele that rubs me the wrong way. It's not the fact that she wanted her photos to be airbrushed... except, of course, that she publicly denounced airbrushing because according to her, "if you have flaws, you shouldn't be in modeling." Pregnancy is not a flaw, but still, she's never been one of my favorite celebs.

What's a few germs shared amongst family? What ever happened to "the family that eats together shares germs together?" Do you double dip in your family? ;-) Thanks for the comment!

Great idea, Tricia! Motherhood prompts you to be creative, doesn't it?

Love this! It is so true. I used to work with a gal who shared the same 3 a.m.-1:00p.m. shift as me and as the years went by her daughter's hair improved thanks to her dad getting in daily practice.

10 Free or Cheap Things to Do With Kids During the Spring

Great tips, Jacky! Here's another: Go to a local botanical garden. The ones affilated with local universities don't typically charge admission. It's a great place for kids to run around and learn about plants and flowers.
