He has LOVED his paci since birth and at 16 mo old (even though I swore that when he turned 1 it was going in the trash) he still lights up with excitement when he sees it coming. And I am okay with it. If it makes him feel comforted and secure then what is it hurting at this point? Glad to know I'm not the only proud paci parent out there thanks! Five Reasons to Study the Old Testament - Blog Entry09 Jan 2007 05:28 PM I took an OT survey class in college for my Bible minor and it was one of my all time favorite classes in my 4 yrs of college! The OT is filled with so many important lessons and teaches us so much about God's character and His promises. I know I wouldn't have the same understanding of spiritual things if I hadn't spent time reading and studying it. Thanks for the reminder! Christians Aren't Perfect - Blog Entry09 Jan 2007 05:26 PM "God is the best friend you'll ever have. People will fail you. God will never fail you." So true. Good thoughts MJ. Coming Out and Being Honest - Blog Entry08 Jan 2007 10:26 AM Oh Melissa I am so sorry that you have had to deal with this kind of struggle, but I can see how God has already used this trial in your life to shape and mold who you are and you are a beautiful person. You are so strong to admit these things and share them here. That is the biggest step in healing. I'm here if you ever need to talk. Get Started Now on Baby's Scrapbook - Blog Entry07 Jan 2007 06:15 PM I did this for my son's first year and I am planning on doing one for my daughter when she is born in March! I love going back and looking at it - that first year goes SO fast and is filled with so many great memories. Even though I find it hard to stay caught up completely on it, I do jot down notes to myself once a month with what my child is doing or saying that is new. I also keep my photos in order so when I am ready to work on it I have everything I need to get started. Thanks for the tips! Friday Fun: What Is Your Scrapbook Style? The Results - Blog Entry07 Jan 2007 06:11 PM I would say I am a C - fun, colorful, playful. Although I had quite a few other letters as answers as well. Probably because most of my scrapbooking is geared toward my 16 mo old son! Very interesting! A View of Execution - Blog Entry07 Jan 2007 06:05 PM Wow I hadn't heard that either Art. What a shame. It's amazing that less than a second after that he was facing his eternity and knew the truth a second too late. I don't think I would watch a publically aired execution of Saddam. I don't think it is something that I need to see. But I can see how the people whose lives he affected would feel the need to see that to obtain a sense of closure. He was certainly an evil man and I believe that his death may bring some sens of justice to those people. Who's Really Happy? - Blog Entry07 Jan 2007 06:01 PM Funny how God knows best, isn't it? Not really, but we always seem so amazed when things happen the way he says, don't we. It is very cool to see the statistics that support what healthy, godly living will do for people! I appreciate you sharing this infomation - very interesting. Being "Jesus" to Someone - Blog Entry07 Jan 2007 05:57 PM Wow what a great reminder of how we should consciously live our day to day life Melissa! Thanks for stating it so simply! It's amazing how God can work through us through such simple acts and thoughts when we may not even realize it. I will definitely keep these things in the forefront of my mind as I go about my week. Thanks! How To Become A Christian - Blog Entry18 Oct 2006 09:18 AM Very well summarized! God's plan of salvation is so simple and it is out there for everyone and anyone to accept. Thanks Melissa. |
