I learned something new (^_^) Organizing Your Stockpile - Blog Entry28 Aug 2006 05:17 PM Thanks so much for writing this! I'm just now starting to coupon and have been considering stockpiling but was worried I wouldn't be able to do it in an apartment. Now I know I can :) Choosing Diapers - Cloth or Disposable - Blog Entry28 Aug 2006 04:22 PM Cloth diapers really are quite good when it comes to saving money. My suggestions for diapers are fuzzi bunz, they are amazing. You just stuff the diaper (they are what is called a "pocket diaper" so you can adjust the absorabancy), and put it on the baby...tada! Just as easy as disposables really, without all the irritation and all you have to do is wash a load of clothes. There are a ton of misconceptions about cloth diapers, I just wish I had time enough to educate everyone to know that some things they've heard simply aren't true, such as having to dunk the diapers in the toilet. Sure you CAN, but it's by no means necessary. Thie entry talks about cloth diapers being easier to soak through, I think that's true with some such as prefolds but from my experience with pocketed diapers and AIOs (all in ones) it's just not the case, they really do hold pretty much the same. One thing that I've noticed is that many people who use disposables let them get completely full and soaked before changing them, which is often when diaper rash begins to occur or when that nasty gel stuff (which fyi was banned from use in tampons because of it's links to TSS, yet is okay to put on our babies bums...?) can get on them which is ridiculously hard to clean off sometimes. I couldn't let my baby go that long without a diaper change, but maybe that's just me... Don't Throw That Away - Old Clothing - Blog Entry28 Aug 2006 04:10 PM I always try and sell old clothes first, but if not then into the rag bin they go! Great Clothing Tips from The Tightwad Gazette - Blog Entry28 Aug 2006 03:20 PM Yard sales are great. I don't do consignment stores often because I've seen some total ripoffs in them before. Thanks for the link about the tightwad gazette, I've been meaning to look into it.
