This would be great the sweet way also with some granola for breakfast. Draining the yogurt makes it very creamy and good. If you've ever had a fruit-n-yogurt parfait from McDonalds, I suspect they use thick Greek yogurt or drained yogurt as well.

Who Said That Two Is So Terrible? - Blog Entry

21 Sep 2006 12:47 PM

Great article, Kaye--and soooo true. I like your sister-in-law's theory and have found it to be true in my own house. My two-and-a-half year old daughter is a spirited little thing. She's started stomping her foot, crossing her arms over her chest, and crinkling her nose at me while saying, "Go Way!" So for her, I'd say the "terribles" have begun. With my son, though (he's almost 6) I'd say we hit the "terribles" at 3. Age 4 brought more struggles, and now at nearly 6, we fight battles of a different kind--like getting him to realize I actually still know things (now that he's a school boy I think he assumes he's reached genius status). Who knew the "terribles" last and last? Hehehehehe. Yes, we all love our kiddos, but being able to talk about the not-so-glamorous side of mothering and stages is like a breath of fresh air. Good luck to you!!!

Chicken Tava - Blog Entry

Yummy! I've never been to that region of Turkey. There is a similar dish, Buryan, which utilizes a round tepsi pan. My mother-in-law brought one out here with her when she visited in October. I love it! You put it right on the stovetop and add some butter, then onion, then tomato, then rice. Then you add water and cooked chicken (she boiled a whole chicken then cut it up) and pop it into the oven to cook the rice and brown the chicken. YUM-O.
