Mindless Does Matter - Blog Entry

GREAT article. After being together 10 years, my husband and I sometimes realize we're just drifting. I'm busy with writing and the kids and he's busy with work and then the kids when he comes home--sometimes we feel like housemates rather than partners. Luckily we talk about it when this happens and get things back on track. You're so right, marriages end with a whimper. It's the detachment that drives so many people apart. We put effort into all other areas of our lives. We have to do that with marriage too. Thanks for the article--wonderfully written.

Complete Meal: "Fake" Chicken Parmesan and Italian Veggie Bake - Blog Entry

Sounds yummy! You can also made fake chicken parmigiana by using the breaded chicken patties, which you cook in the oven at like 400 degrees for about 15 minutes or so, then take them out, top with a TB of tomato paste, a slice of mozarella or provolone cheese (or 2) and a sprinkle of dried oregano. Pop back in the oven till cheese is melted. Can't wait to try your recipe...and the picture looked delicious!

The Atkins Diet - Why Some People Don't Lose Weight - Blog Entry

01 Jun 2006 08:44 AM

Me too, Libby. I lost 55 pounds doing Atkins. Then I too got pregnant and gained 60 pounds with my son...too much of that is still hanging around after having baby #2 two years ago. I've tried to do it again but keep blowing it. I had great results when I did it though--fast too. But if it's not a lifestyle change, it just doesn't work because you inevitably will eat too many carbs! Darn diets.... :-) Now I just limit my carbs, but don't try and eliminate them. The result? I feel better.
