So nice to hear of someone from Cottonwood too! My grandma lived in Clarkdale for many years. My grandpa was the owner of Mingus Market many years ago. I look forward to reading your blogs. Healthy Fast Food part 2: McDonalds21 Apr 2006 08:23 PM As a mom of two myself, I appreciate this information. It'll help me make wise choices when eating there. I love the fruit n yogurt parfait also. It's very yummy, and you're right, a small hamburger does fill that comfort food need, and with it's calorie content it's nice to know it's not so off-limits. This was great. Deviled Eggs and Egg Salad21 Apr 2006 08:20 PM I like the addition of dill for your egg salad sanwiches - yummy! And thanks for the tip about how to hardboil your eggs. I could never remember how long you're supposed to let them sit after they boil. Thanks! I like the deviled egg recipe as well. I substitute miracle whip for mayo but that's personal preference. A friend of mine uses mayo but adds cider vinegar in hers. Personally, I don't think you can go wrong very easily with deviled eggs. Thanks for sharing! Guilty Mom Syndrome (GMS)21 Apr 2006 08:16 PM Thanks for your comment, Nicole! I agree - sure would be nice if there was a magic way to not have to feel GMS. Then again, perhaps it's a good thing. It keeps us caring, keeps us feeling, and keeps us striving to be the best parents we can be and to make each day special. Enjoy your kiddos. :-) This Little Piggy Went to Market - A Guide to Buying Baby Shoes21 Apr 2006 08:13 PM You're absolutely correct about the wide foot problem. I should have added a clause about that in my article as well as a clause about arch support. Hopefully others will read these comments too. My son has very wide feet as well. I am lucky enough to have a Stride Rite outlet near me so his shoes have always been $19 to $25 maximum - still not cheap but not quite as expensive. If you can find one close to you check it out - same shoes, much much lower cost. What I meant in the article was that you don't have to buy the designer shoes with the designer pricetag. :-) When Diaper Rash Won't Go Away20 Apr 2006 05:03 AM Yes, unfortunately the laundry does increase - then again, so do the smiles instead of tears! In the end (no pun intended) it's all worth it to stop what can quickly become a very painful situation!
