Has the weather gotten better? Dog fur is a tough one. I usually take my household vacuum for pet hair. I use the open hose, and it generally does a good job. Sometimes brushing at the hair first helps, too. It can loosen the hair and make it go in one direction, aiding in quicker clean up.

Memartha, I didn't know about the free toy program. That is a great avenue for parents.

Michele, Our local thrift stores just have signs saying that they so their best to provide safe toys. I'll have to call around and find out if they will be cutting back.
