I think there are times when it is healthy for children to see that while you may not disagree on an issue, you will find a way to work it out. You don't have to discuss the details with the kids, but you don't have to hide the fact that you may disagree on something. This can reassure everyone that a difference in opinion isn't the end of the world and that you are committed to solving an issue together.

Also unless you have the luxury of both working at home, it can be almost impossible sometimes to check with the other spouse in certain areas. Hopefully, you have already discussed key issues so you know where your spouse stands. But I have had those moments where a child asked something of one parent that was granted when the previous parent already said no. In that case, the child is always found out and disciplined to reinforce the issue that we are united in our role as parents.
