Here is the basic recipe I follow:

2 Tbs butter 2 Tbs flour 1/4 tsp salt (optional) 1 cup milk

Melt the butter and stir in the flour. After about three minutes, whisk in the milk. Sometimes I will add just a tiny dash of pepper, especially if I am making a cream of potato soup.

For cream of chicken, use half milk and half stock or broth.

Add grated cheese for a cheese soup.

For mushroom or celery, saute about 1/4 cup of the chopped ingredient and add to the soup once it is heated.

it is so nice to hear from you UPS. There is no comparison to homemade chicken stock is there? I encourage you to try the cream soup. It sounds intimidated, but it is so quick and easy that I make my cream soups to throw into my crockpot for dinner recipes.

Hey Samual, I've missed your comments! Do they have a place in the boot of the plane where a bassinet can be fastened? I have seen some planes with this feature, although the adults have less room in that area.

Circumcision continues to be controversial. Some medical experts are strongly for it while others are against it. The American Academy of Pediatrics assembled a task force to examine the issue. They state "Existing scientific evidence demonstrates potential medical benefits of newborn male circumcision; however, these data are not sufficient to recommend routine neonatal circumcision."

Aggie, that is the same tactic I started taking when the nitpicking got really bad. I would just stop doing whatever it was he was nitpicking about. Good for you for recognizing the practice and changing!
