The tabloids also say that he and Kate had an arrangement that allowed him to date other people. Who knows. I wonder how we would all appear if we had the cameras on us all of the time. http://baby.families.com/blog/our-jon-amp-kate-moments

That is so funny, Libby. Your husband stole your friend. LOL! Communication is so important in so many areas. As long as you are all open about friendships as you are, you'll be fine.

Children' s Behavior Threatening a Marriage - Blog Entry

I think there are times when it is healthy for children to see that while you may not disagree on an issue, you will find a way to work it out. You don't have to discuss the details with the kids, but you don't have to hide the fact that you may disagree on something. This can reassure everyone that a difference in opinion isn't the end of the world and that you are committed to solving an issue together.

Also unless you have the luxury of both working at home, it can be almost impossible sometimes to check with the other spouse in certain areas. Hopefully, you have already discussed key issues so you know where your spouse stands. But I have had those moments where a child asked something of one parent that was granted when the previous parent already said no. In that case, the child is always found out and disciplined to reinforce the issue that we are united in our role as parents.

Yes, please let me know how you find it. Also, if you have any trouble combining for a smooth soup, you can try either warming up the milk and broth before adding them.

Here is the basic recipe I follow:

2 Tbs butter 2 Tbs flour 1/4 tsp salt (optional) 1 cup milk

Melt the butter and stir in the flour. After about three minutes, whisk in the milk. Sometimes I will add just a tiny dash of pepper, especially if I am making a cream of potato soup.

For cream of chicken, use half milk and half stock or broth.

Add grated cheese for a cheese soup.

For mushroom or celery, saute about 1/4 cup of the chopped ingredient and add to the soup once it is heated.

Hope this helps!

it is so nice to hear from you UPS. There is no comparison to homemade chicken stock is there? I encourage you to try the cream soup. It sounds intimidated, but it is so quick and easy that I make my cream soups to throw into my crockpot for dinner recipes.

Exactly. We just need to gather the information and do the best that we can. It is hard not to judge, because I think this can be tied into self esteem.
