Breastfed Infants Are Less Likely to Be Neglected

That is an interesting theory. So perhaps in certain cases breastfeeding might even be prescribed by a doctor.

Are Your Frugal Efforts Going Down the Drain?

You can get great deals on toiletries with coupons, especially when they are doubled or tripled. I routinely get free toothpaste this way.

Dried beans are easier to prepare than you might think, especially if you use your crockpot!

Our BJs here doesn't double coupons--lucky girl!

Can a Messy Home Make you Spend More?

It could be a vicious cycle. Stuff tends to expand to the size of your home. We recently purchased (at the thrift store) a Star Wars play tent for the kids. Now it does fold up, but it would never have fit in our old home which means we wouldn't have purchased it!

The Frugal Art of Canning

It generally depends on the product. Without commercial preservatives, your food won't last as long as store bought. I would give applesauce anywhere from 3-5 days. You'll notcie mold start to grow. It might last longer if it is kept in the back of the fridge. Also, avoiding eating from the jar or placing a spoon that has been in someone's mouth will lengthen the time before it spoils. Apple sauce goes quickly in my house, so I haven't tested this theory. Great job getting it canned!

Frugal Myth Busters

Resting sheets is a myth. It only seems as though they last longer because since you are using and washing them less per set, they last longer. The biggest thing that shortens the life of sheets is the dryer. Thanks for sharing. That was a good one!
