Doctors sugar-coat recovery from surgery

I am now nearly two weeks out from surgery and feeling much better. Thanks for all of the support. The air bubbles began to diminish by day 5 and by last Friday I felt like a human again.

I just have to rant about how rotten I feel right now. Last Thursday, I had a hiatal hernia repair, gall bladder removal and stomach wrap to stop the reflux.

I think people misinterpret when Jesus said to take the good news to the world. Jesus himself didn't bear his soul to every person he came across. I am a Christian too.

Moving in with my In Laws

You poor thing. I hope things have improved for you. I spent 1 1/2 years with my husband's family and it nearly destroyed me, my marriage, and my children.

Post operative pain

Hello, I just had hiatal hernia repair, fundoplication (stomach wrap) and gall bladder removal. I am wondering if anyone can tell me how long the pain from trapped air lasts.

Do you ever really know someone even after living with them? I've been married 16 years to my one and only, together 17 years. Ours was a long distance relationsip for a year, mail and phone.

A number of years ago, Reader's Digest reported that couples who live together prior to marriage are 1/3 more likely to divorce than couples who live together after marriage.

Are you more of a Conservative or a Liberal?

I am a conservative but am leaning more towards independence these days than Republican. I am disgusted with the Repubs for having power for 12 years and continually adding to the national debt.
