Judging Others

Hi Miriam, thanks for the article & it's a timely reminder on judging. I remembered reading in CS Lewis' Mere Christianity that very often, we feel proud not because we are good but because we are better than others. This tendency to judge is difficult to let go as since young, we are ranked in class and learn to compare on everything.

During last sunday's sermon, I'm reminded that the hallmark of a christian is the show of gratitude. The bible verse is Colossians 2:7, see my post if you like! God Bless! Gratitude

Stories of the Bible

Hi Lisa, I fully agree that we ought to be careful when reading bible stories to children. I've started serving in my church's ministry which is bible storytelling to the elderly. Most of these elderly are young christians and due to poor eyesight, they are unable to read the bible. Through the 'storytelling' session, we hope to bring the bible to them from cover to cover in a light-hearted manner (some of these elderly doze off easily).
