I don't get it
Okay, I get that there is a presidential election right around the
corner. I get that becoming president is a huge step for one of the two
leading candidates, however I don't get why that gives them the right,
or the feeling that it is okay for the presidential race to take
precedence over their current jobs. I'm watching the news commentators
argue back and forth about why the campaign and the debates should
continue as scheduled, however I also hear those same commentators talk
about the horrible state of our economy and how Washington DC is doing
little or nothing to help.
Well forgive my lack of understanding, but shouldn't people be worried
that some of the largest finanical institutions are inches away from
falling flat? I see a domino effect happening soon after. I don't want
so much of my tax dollars going towards fixing a bank's problems.
However I do know that there is a solution out there somewhere. I also
know that the country of Georgia cut taxes across the board and they
pulled out of their economic problems.
But throughout all this, people seem to have lost sight of the fact
that as a country we are spiraling down into another depression and
those we put in charge are twitting their thumbs and arguing over
should we or shouldn't we continue to campaign. Or even better they
won't even sit down to discuss options because A.) There is an election
a few weeks away. B.) It is Friday.
Well thanks for listening to my rant. I hope that this is fixed soon, or at least people are going to start talking.
