Men need way more stimulation than woman to distract their minds from worry etc. Women are able to slow it down and appreciate simpler things than men can. For example I do not know any man(ufortunately that would rather go to a play than watch some kind of sport. Even baseball keeps a mans attention more than a play. Men who follow baseball are really getting into the anticipation of what is going to happen because they study it like a science all year long. Most men could earn 3 phds with the mental exercise and energy they put into baseball let alone all sports combined. I would have to be on steroids just to be able to stay awake at any sporting event but mot men simly love it and really hate plays. I hate sports and I also hate plays as well but that is rare. Thanks for letting me drone on. Why Married Women Need Friends10 Jun 2006 03:04 PM I am male but I appreciated your article. I say this because I believe that although we all need friends to let our hair down, women especially mothers tend to lead more all encompassing lives. A mother has 24/7 sense of responsibility where I do not feel that a man lives that way even as a parent. I appreciate that type of committment n many women and I don't think we will be seeing that in men any time soon. So, appreciate your nights out because in my opinion you do what I never could and you deerve all the R & R you can get. Miserable? I Don't Think So10 Jun 2006 02:32 PM I always attatched sensible to the word frugal. I know the negative meanings and they don't seem to fit. They seem to infer some sort of personality impairment. If I thought someone was really a cheapskate as the word is used I would never think of them as frugal at the same time. The negative termsreflect extreme behavior that connotes some kind of compulsion not to spend as opposed to moderate and reasonable spending. How Does Pornography Reach Our Children?10 Jun 2006 02:24 PM All I can say is that it is aweful that you have to protect your family this way. Maybe there is a problem with our societal mental health in that it seems that pornoraphy is a greate passtime than baseball and all sports put together. I believe that such material is extremely harmful for children to view. How much will this stuff distort the thinking and attitudes toward women and sexuality when viewed during such formative years. It obviously can't be healthy. |
