It is so tough for parents who were abused or neglected themselves. I wish only the best for them but I'm glad you've got the kids. We have an open adoption with our childs birth mom, ... It is a great relationship, but emotionally mixed for me. Great blog

Miriam, You're lucky to have had these lessons as a child. I'm almost 48 and just learning them now.--- luckily I haven't been waaaay overboard in my spending, but still, I could have done a lot better with my cash all these years.

I've had my daughter on two school waiting lists since she was two! They are both public schools, but very good, and since we are out of district I've got to just wait.... Wish us luck getting our first choice!

Humm.. Thanks Miriam, I've been doing a bit of both - paying off debt, but also putting some aside - especially for Christmas. December is a hard month for us... Three birthdays, Three Children, Five Grandchildren, and two 'adopt a family' situations we support. I appreciate your blog posts!
