Bio

In a previous life, Michelle was president of a medical manufacturing company, and then in private practice as a holistic business consultant.

In her mid 40's, she and her husband decided to become parents. Michelle gave up her successful career to pursue her dream of becoming a Mom.

After fostering ten children, Michelle and her husband (of twenty-five years), adopted their little girl, and became a family.

Michelle is now a writer and a stay at home mom. As a families.com blogger on family finances, Michelle says:

"Everyday I try to figure out how to budget in my spa days and lunches out, when I've given up my large salary - not. Actually the salary part is correct, but who has time for spa days with a pre-schooler?"

Michelle has put together a strict budget for her family, which includes necessities such as traveling, eating out, and an occasional massage.

Michelle lives with her husband of twenty-five years in the mountains of Colorado. Their daughter is now three and her best friends include one deaf, fourteen year old lab mix dog, one 'I'll eat anything left within jumping distance' golden mix dog, and a Calico cat with one ear missing.

They enjoy hiking the mountains of Colorado and enjoying the fine life on a regular person's salary.

Michelle has also written a marketing book, produced a documentary film and has written for various magazines and websites.
