That's true. Currently I visit teach three sisters that I am learning so much from, and normally, I wouldn't really get to know them, because our paths wouldn't normally cross. Visiting teaching has many wonderful blessings.

The Atonement and Forgiveness in Marriage - Blog Entry

That is true. I hadn't really thought of the children affected, but that is an even bigger reason to forgive as quickly as possible.

General conference: Faith to Move Mountains - Blog Entry

I really appreciate your comments on faith. Faith really is central to all that we do and who we are. I am sorry that you did not get to watch conference. You can watch it streaming over the internet if you get on early enough. You can listen at the church's site or watch at KNYU or BYUTV's site. We have a cable station that carries it here as a public service. Also if you have Dish Network or Direct TV you can watch it on the the BYU station. I know that on dish it is 9403. There are great resources available on that station. It is even available in the smallest family package that is offered through Dish network. It may be on the smallest Direct one as well. The transition from living inside Utah to outside can be eye opening, but I love living in the mission field now. Also I've heard that the saints are really strong in Vegas area.

Primary Time: March Theme "Try, Try, Try" - Blog Entry

Hmmm. Well I always refer to the page in "The Friend" to get the theme for sharing time to write about. I went and checked out the two pages both available on the Primary part of lds.org. The Friend theme matches as far as song, scripture and general idea, just a different title. That is what I was referring to--sorry about the confusion.

One great resource is "The Friend" in the Sharing Time section they have outlines for four different ideas for Sharing Times each. (You can also get it online by going to the primary section of www.lds.org) It is easy to flip it open and simply prepare the materials suggested. The ideas work well, and are designed with kids in mind. If you are doing both junior and senior or a combination of the two, then you will want to make certain adaptations. I used this resource a lot when I was in the presidency. Good Luck!

Is Student Loan Debt a Necessary Evil? - Blog Entry

It is a good deal to pay in advance, you certainly will save money that way with the rate of inflation.

It is also important to shop around and find the college that is the best fit for you. An education is an expensive thing (well worth it though), so you do want to find a place that will provide a high quality education and that fits your needs. Another way to save money is to have a plan from the beginning. I knew my major the day I entered college, and so I was able to move through rapidly. While not everyone needs to know that soon, it does help to have a major earlier in your college career so you can move through at a quicker pace.
