LDS Vacations--Nauvoo, Illinois - Blog Entry

I think you should plan two to three days at the very least. That way you can do everything, and not feel rushed. There is camping there as well, so you could spend time with your family that way as well.

Thanks for sharing this story. The Lord really does help us in times of need. It is wonderful that you were prepared to have this experience, and able to step up to do so. It can be hard to stand up and be the one voice for truth. Thanks for showing us all that it can be done.

Another great place to save on children's clothese are consignment shops and sales and yard sales. I have a list of everything I need and what I already have and hit the twins and tripletts sale in my area. I got everything for my duaghter to wear, and the most I paid was two dollars an item. The clothes were in good condition, and a lot were name brand clothing.

A Moment on Modesty - Blog Entry

I am sure you have talked to her about why she needs to be modest. You could inist that if you are buying the clothes that you won't pay for anything that is immodest. I don't think you can do anything if she is buying them with her own money. My mother told me that if I brought home anything that was immodest that she would take it back to the store and return it, and she would keep the money. I never really thought about buying anything too extreme, but I can't say that I was perfect.

That is so sad. Kids can be very cruel. I think it is important as parents to teach our children to never be mean to each other.

I think it is great that you are passing on the positive behavior to your son! I haven't thought about doing that. I've really focused on myself. Thanks for the idea!
