Don't Let Your Special Needs Teen Be a Fashion Reject! - Blog Entry

I have a brother with special needs and I agree that this is important. It helps my brother feel more confident and comfortable because he is in-style. However, he doesn't know what exactly that is. He has also been made fun of for seemingly small things regarding his sense of style and self. Sadly teachers can be just as affected and rush to judgment as a child social peers. Thanks for the article.

Julie--Sorry for taking a bit of time to answer you. All you need to do is visit lds.org. Then you will search the church magazines (really just The Friend) I've found that it is easiest to search by specific story, but if you enter pdf as the search term, it will bring up all the articles that have images attached, and then you just need to go through them. It sounds like a lot of work, but you find so many other fun activities while you are going through the articles that it is worth the effort.

Thanks for the update. Some members live quite far from the centers, and the bishop can help put them in contact with local people or help to coordinate counseling sessions when the counselor comes to the area. Of course you can do that by contacting the number listed at providentliving.org as well.
