Group Dating vs. Group Outings

Yes. The most recent one has received the current revelation for the church, but I can think of very few instances when this has happened.

A Moment on Modesty

I totally agree! I can't imagine dressing my child that way. My husband insists that my daughter's dresses come to her knees, so we either buy a size or two bigger or have my mother-in-law sew her some. It is very frustrating.

LDS Fiction vs. National Fiction vs. Classics

07 Apr 2006 03:39 PM

I am a big reader, and I enjoy LDS fiction because I don't have to worry about it. I am also drawn to adoloscent fiction for the same reason. Where did you read the review? I think it is great that we are beginning to come into our own as a culture, with movies, music and books. But at the same time I wouldn't say that our books have reached the status of the classics. Yes we have some great authors, and I enjoy reading their books, but only time will tell if they turn into true classics. There is nothing wrong with reading for pure enjoyment. Also most of the fiction on the market right now will not end up in the classic category either.

I really have seen the positive effects of family councils as well. I think everyone likes to have a voice in the day to day matters.

I know what you mean. I feel that way and my oldest in only in preschool. I dread what is going to happen when they get older.

Personal Scripture Study

I think the most important key is finding what works best for yourself. My days go better if I read in the morning. But I've also had times that reading at night worked best for me!

Spiritual Fitness

I think that you bring up some good points! Spiritual fitness (whatever religion you choose to follow) really does carry over into all aspects of your life. I think that it helps to bring harmony and purpose to each individual's life.

Family Home Evening: General Conference

I think it all depends on the ages of your kids. My four year old is going to get more out of it with the bribing of the treats, but as they get older I think the research helps the leaders become more real and then the message more relevent.

I Must! I Must! I Must Increase My Bust!

I remember it from Punky Brewster, I think Margo said it.
