It has take-offs on so many old movies, and if you are familiar with those, you will just howl. If not, it's still alot of fun. I own this movie and must see it semi-annually, at least. Hatari! (1962) - Blog Entry25 Feb 2007 12:33 PM I definately agree with all you say about this movie..a pereninal fav. Just to add, the music of Henry Mancini takes it way beyond the ordinary. My favorites are the theme and the one called His Father's Feathers, about the ostriches, and, of course don't forget the one that took the oscar, Baby Elephant Walk. Charade (1963) - Blog Entry21 Feb 2007 07:40 AM This is a wonderfully entertaining movie, an edge-of the-seat type, my favorite kind! And if there was ever a beautiful man, Cary was it. The Importance of Being Earnest (2002) - Blog Entry21 Feb 2007 07:37 AM This movie is one of the most fun I've seen. I definitely need this in my collection. The Good Earth - Pearl S. Buck - Blog Entry21 Feb 2007 07:23 AM I love anything Pearl Buck has written. She has her own style which has never been successfully imitated. I understand that she thinks in Chinese and then translates into English, which would be at least part of that. Having spent her earliest years in China, she was first aware of that culture, then any others as she got older. This gave her insight no other writer has. Kristy Swanson and Lloyd Eisler Have a Son - Blog Entry21 Feb 2007 07:16 AM It's too bad that people have to be such skanks. Breaking up homes shouldn't be a part of any show, it makes one afraid to watch!! What About Bob? (1991) - Blog Entry23 Jan 2007 03:00 PM I love this movie!!!!!!!!!! Bill Murray is the perfect Bob, and it stays fresh no matter how many times you see it. I know, because I've seen it almost as many times as I've seen P&P......with Colin Firth. Roman Holiday (1953) - Blog Entry23 Jan 2007 02:56 PM I first saw this movie when it first came out, in a theater.I was in grade school, and thought it one of the most romantic movies I had ever seen. I haven't changed my opinion much over the years. I used to go around saying "I hate this nightgown...I hate all my nightgowns" until it annoyed my mother. Olympic Figure Skating Champion Gets New Job Representing America - Blog Entry23 Jan 2007 02:40 PM Yea for michelle, the best skater there has yet been. I love to hear that she is doing well, as she deserves. I'd like it better if she hadn't been robbed of the Gold medal in SLC, 2002. Pride and Prejudice (1995) - Blog Entry23 Jan 2007 02:34 PM This is the best movie there has ever been, and anyone who says otherwise is simply not to be listened to. Colin Firth, indeed. |
