A Mother's Influence: Raising Children to Change the World - Margaret D. Nadauld - Blog Entry

I couldn't agree more with your conclusions, Tristi. Raising a family is the single most important job in the world, and also the one most guarenteed to wear you down and make you question your value. It's 24/7 , like water dripping in the infamous Chinese water torture. That's why you constantly need encouragement. Hats off to the book in review and it's author, and to you, Tristi. for making it more visible to more mothers.

Laura: Murder Most Foul Among The Upper Crust - Blog Entry

This film is one of my all time favs. I bought it and watch it on a fairly regular basis. All of the charactors are interesting and well played. There is suspense that can be felt and never lets up. When you find Laura actually in danger again and see who it is, that is the best part. Of course, the detective falling for her by seeing her portrait is very romantic. One thing always bothered me about it tho.. why dosen't anyone, and I mean anyone ever seem to be really glad that she isn't really dead? Thanks for the details about the making of this movie, they will add to my enjoyment next time I watch it. The theme music has become such a standard esp in jazz, and is also a favorite of mine.

Dead on Arrival - Jeffrey Savage - Blog Entry

I enjoyed this book tho it was slow going at first. I kept wondering where it could be going, and was perplexed thru most of it, which is a good thing for this kind of book. I didn't like the very end because it left you hanging way too much, and when that happens the next book needs to be close at hand, or the author, so you can take a poke at him.
