Yes, and interestingly, each person I've talked with shares a different way this question was addressed to them. To those who are asked the question, keep in perspective that many children from the system have been sexually abused and it is a valid question in some degree. Keeping this in mind, go with your gut as to how detailed to be. If the question is posed in such a way you don't find relevant, be vauge or move on to the next question.

Surgery was apparently very successful! Thank you to those of you who sought God on this! God is so good--whether he answers prayer the way we hope or not. I can't thank all of you enough :).

My concern in this is not so much knowing God but Jesus. Since many believe there is a God (though many do not serve the God we do of the Bible) but Christianity teaches the only way to God is through Jesus. I don't know for sure, but I imagine there are many who really don't understand who Jesus truly is. Thanks for your input!

Thank you Angie. And I do understand that those who believe in infant baptism also believe (at least many do) in confirmation when the child is of accountable age.

False Teachers - Blog Entry

I agree Babydawn. I believe discernment comes through knowing the Word and having it stored in our hearts too. Unfortunately there are people who don't truly know the Lord and you hear stories of mothers murdering because "the Lord 'told' them to". Scripture and insight through prayer should line up. Thanks for sharing :).
