Trials and Faith: Why is This Happening? - Blog Entry

Many people feel restoration after surgery. Yes, God is the ultimate healer, but He uses people to carry out His work sometimes. My mom felt resored after her gallbladder was removed, my grandpa felt restored after his hip and knee were replaced, my grandma felt restored after her cancer was removed... These things happend and were prayed over that God would guide the doctors hands (not to err in their surgical manouvers). For wisdom (that God would impart this so they would work efficiently and percisely in their efforts) and for knowledge (that the doctors would apply the very things that they've learned and not forget).

Certainly God can do miricles, certainly He's designed our bodies to be resilient, but there is nothing wrong with seeking support from doctors and praying over the work they do to assist in preparation for what God will do.

Interesting... I have never heard of silver helping an ear infection. My son gets them around this time of year often :(. He is doing MUCH better today :). He is allergic to 2 classes of antibiotics, so when he's gotten reacurant infections it makes me nervous. He's doing better though as he's growing up and his ears are maturing.

Thanks for the well wishes for him :).

Thank you all for your comments. I too find God speaks in that still quiet voice. I think the purpose of this must be for us too put aside the chaos and commotion to focus on Him.

Michelle, overall that sounds like good news. A case worker told me that about 90% cases she's seen, the bparents sign voluntary TPR. Seem to me, most wait until the last minute which can be so hard for families waiting for things to finish. We did mediation and right now I'm happy we did.

I love the Love and Logic techniques of delaying the consequences, and letting the child's disobedience be turned into a teaching lesson that will go with them. Much more effective than a spank!
